About Murrietta, CA

Murrieta is a city in the state of California in the United States. Murrieta has a population of 103,466 people, according to the 2010 census. According to the most recent census, Murrieta’s population increased by over 100% between 2000 and 2010, making it one of its fastest-growing cities. Murrieta is primarily residential, and many of its citizens travel to work in San Diego County, Orange County, the more commercialized neighboring city of Temecula to the south, and Camp Pendleton. Murrieta is bordered on the south by Temecula and the north by the recently incorporated communities of Menifee and Wild Omar. Murrieta is not confused with Rancho Murieta, a tiny unincorporated hamlet near Sacramento in Northern California. Ezequiel Murrieta, who is unrelated to Southern California bandit Joaquin Murrieta, created it.
